required to use an Overseas Agent in the country
of origin or destination. We choose the agents
carefully as they are representing and working
with us in their country. Pengelly’s
have a choice of good agents around the world.
There are not many forwarders of our size in New
Zealand that are not multi-nationals. Our
financial stability and client base makes us an
attractive partner.
Many of
our overseas partners have a staff member
dedicated to our tradelane, and this ensures
accuracy and efficiency for your shipments.
Our
agents also have access to our Glasshouse
Information System, and jobs are updated directly
from the agent as shipping information comes to
hand.
We
frequently visit our agents to ensure that we
have a good working relationship with them, to
check that our shipments are being handled in the
best way possible, and to assess that the agents
are still capable of meeting our client’s
requirements.
